The Parksville Community Centre is a multi-purpose meeting and event facility centre located in central Parksville. The new Community Centre is located at 223 Mills Street.

Parksville City Hall also houses the Parksville branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library and Vancouver Island University Parksville campus.

Vancouver Island University Elder College is a program geared towards people who are 50 or better and have an interest in learning. Oceanside Community Wagon – The Parksville Newcomers Club works with the Oceanside Community Wagon to provide a basket full of greetings, gifts and information to Newcomers to the Oceanside area. In addition to lots of community information, the basket has free gifts and discounts from local merchants.
