Monthly PNC Meetings
Monthly Meetings take place on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month (except for July and August) at 2:00 pm in the Parksville Community Centre, 132 Jensen Street. Members are encouraged to arrive at 1:30 p.m. to learn more about activity groups and upcoming special events and socialize with other newcomers. Each meeting features a speaker from a local community organization and a 50/50 Draw takes place with proceeds currently going to the SPCA.
Activity Groups support two important Club goals: To support members in continuing or pursuing new interests, activities and hobbies; and provide members with opportunities to develop friendships and social networks.
Activity Groups are organized around an activity or hobby which are consistent with the Club’s purpose, values and goals. Each Activity Group has a volunteer coordinator who oversees the Group’s activities and provides information to its members and prospective members. Most activities take place from Sept. to June.
Below is a list of current Activity Groups and you can click on each to learn more about the group and the coordinator’s name and contact info. Please contact the coordinator for additional info. Some groups, to help with planning (ie. reserving the right number for lunch or dinner reservations), ask that you let the coordinator know if you are attending. Other groups are drop in.
Any suggestions for creating a new Activity Group can be addressed to the Vice President at firstname.lastname@example.org. If it’s your idea and it’s approved by the Board, you’ll need to agree to be the coordinator or find someone else to be the coordinator.
